My '76 Ironhead

Always loved vintage Harleys and when I saw this ole' yeller I had to fix it up!  Freedom?  I like to think so.  I was calling it ole' yeller til I could come up with a suitable females name for the bike (as most bikers like to do), til I came up with the best name I could think of;  Bonnie.   The older generation tells me that they think it's cool someone my age has the respect, and the patience with such an old cantankerous beast such as the Ironhead.   I've owned a couple Hondas before, and the zero maintenance machines, but there's nothing like getting down and dirty and figuring out your bike for yourself, just in case you do come across a problem, you can figure out how to tackle it.  And usually they're pretty minor.  I'd love to see the 60's and 70's chopper culture come back with the vintage bikes, I do see them every so often but not as much as I'd like, I see too many cookie cutters running up and down the road, nothing with that owners personality engrained into the bike.  I tell people, there's nothing like riding an old Harley, sure you can hop on the fastest street bike in the world covered in plastic bits and pieces but it won't be as gratifying as working and bringing a beast back to life and giving it your own flare other than an extended swing arm and more plastic parts.   I've still yet to paint this bike, but the ketchup and mustard is growing on me for the time being.

Welcome to The Good Times Cafe

Welcome!  This blog is open to anyone who values life and the good things in it, from good food to vintage motorcycles.   I'm a vintage motorcycle enthusiast and a chef in my own eyes, I don't care if you don't think I am.  I like to customize and fix up old guitars and whatever else is history.  I ride a 1976 Harley Ironhead, and I enjoy it, it's like my little time machine.   First post, new to all of this "blogging" thing, but I'll get the hang of it, I'll be posting whatever pictures I like and videos, and views, feel free to add your own pictures and insight as well.   The easily offended might as well go stick their head back in the ground.   Enjoy.

Yes, there will be some of the most amazing recipes for your carnivore needs!  Vegans, you might want to leave, because I highly support the killing of animals to eat.  I can't help that they taste good.  Whatever you do, be good, or be good at it.
